ABOUT
Thalea is a multidisciplinary designer with focus on product development, furniture & interiordesign, currently based in Berlin. After studying in the Master Degree „Rum, Møble og Objet“ at Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademis Skoler for Arkitektur, Design og Konservering she graduated in December 2020 in „Product, Material & Experiment“ at Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee.
In Feburary 2017, she finished her Bachelor studies at Münster School of Design with honours. As the Design education in Münster is interdisciplinary, she is trained in the field of productdesign and beyond: CAD (Rhino, SolidWorks, Sketch-Up, Fusion, KeyShot), photography, colours, textiles, woodwork & grafik. She therefor has worked with a huge variety of materials and techniques. Working for Studio Aisslinger, Studio Besau-Marguerre and Studio modiste as Design Assistent she trained also as an interiordesigner and stylist for clients like Vitra, Artek and Authentics.
2020, with her product „Fold“ she has been exhibiting as nominee for the PURE TALENT CONTEST at imm cologne.
2016, she was selected as „Design Talent of the Year 2016“ by A&W Magazine and KALDEWEI.
2015, was nominated for the German Design Award Newcomer 2016 and was awarded with the »costumer prize« of Bolia Design Award 2015.
